SMALL

A storm brews at sea, threatening to engulf a small, Scottish town. The protagonist Toby is a young boy who stays with his grandparents while his dad works out at sea. Toby becomes increasingly anxious about his dad, who is unable to get home before the storm hits. His worries are interrupted when he comes across three small wooden boats sailing down a stream, which he decides to investigate. The boats lead him to a clearing in the forest, in which dwells a tiny village with tiny houses. Despite its small size the village appears to be inhabited by strange entities who can be heard but not seen. This other-worldly feeling ignites compassion inside Toby who decides he must protect the village from the impending storm.
